When Was The Last Time You Played This Album?

The Doobie Brothers “What Were Onces Vices, Are Now Habits”

Today’s Cool album of the Day is The Doobie Brothers’ “What Were Once Vices Are Now Habits.”

The Doobie Brothers are a weird study. Parts of their work are some of my favorite music of the era. However, almost all their popular hits aren’t on that list.

This release was always my favorite of the bunch. I feel they never did anything better than tracks such as ‘Another Lonely Park, Another Sunday’ or ’Tell Me What You Want, (I’ll Give You What You Need.)’ Other highlights included the opener,‘Song To See You Through, Spirit, Daughters of The Sea’ and the instrumental closer, ‘Flying Cloud.’

‘Vices’ also contained the bands first number one single. ‘Black Water.’ I guess it was OK.
